Check your display.

Images displayed on this site are done on a calibrated screen. To view them properly at home, follow these steps to quickly adjust your screen.

For a precise adjustment of colours The procedure described here can check the values of contrast and brighness of your screen to better adjust these parameters. To calibrate the colour rendering, use a probe for monitor calibration and special sofware that generate custom ICC colour profiles.

1 - Adjust the screen brightness to 50% for an LCD (flat screen), 100% for a CRT (cathode ray tube). 2 - Look at the image below : 3 - Adjust the brightness of your screen so you can see the maximum of light and dark shades. On a screen set properly, it is possible to distinguish the 95% gray square from the black square and the 5% gray square from the white square. LCDs (flat screens) have a default setting of brightness (or backlight) often too high, which may distort the appraisal of the photographs. The value of brightness to display images is around 20%. 4 - Your screen is ready for viewing images in the best conditions.
